SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT "Your Way To Tolerance" is a project for the countries from South Eastern Europe. Its main aim is to promote tolerance between the different ethnic groups on the Balkans and to combat the racism and xenophobia, which are one of the main problems in the region. After hundreds of years of hatred and after the recent conflicts, these countries need peace and understanding more than ever, because this is the only way to an united Europe. We believe, that it is not the politicians, but the young people who can make the difference. Treaties, declarations and even constitutions cannot bring peace, if there is not mutual understanding and respect for the other cultures, habits, traditions, religion. These territories are divided to different ethnic groups and minorities. Many of them feel isolated from the majority, from the social life in the countries, from opportunities to express their needs, to unfold their talents. With our project "Your Way To Tolerance" we are trying to supply them with these opportunities, to fight with the racism, xenophobia and prejudices by organizing joint activities of the different ethnical groups in the region, whose main purpose is to promote peace and tolerance. The support from NGOs from Serbia, Macedonia and Croatia will be crucial for the success in this task. Since they are not program countries, we have included them only as beneficients and not in the budget, but similar activities will take place in them too.
